Completely Managed Inc. was founded by Rod Scotland — nearly two decades of Solution Engineering at Cisco Systems, and a passion for cutting through complexity to deliver real-world results. Since 2015, we've grown into a full-stack IT/OT engineering organization trusted by some of the largest enterprises in North America.

Q5: How do I order a SmartKit? How Long does it take to make them?+
Are you ordering a previously designed SmartKit, or do you need a fully custom SmartKit built around your own hardware, software, and services?
If you saw a SmartKit at a show or event and want that exact model, it may be available within a few weeks depending on quantity and stock.
Otherwise, SmartKits are not off-the-shelf solutions. Each model is engineered from the ground up to meet your exact requirements. Product placement, clearances, mounting, layouts, and every design decision are considered with a full 360° process. This typically includes design, approval, and ordering phases.

Step 1: Concept Discussion
We define the purpose of the SmartKit, outline required features, specify makes/models/integrations, and help develop a clean requirements scope.
Step 2: Design & Pre-Engineering
We prepare a paid design scope with a wireframe, 3D design/CAD layouts, mounting locations, and design considerations for each hardware component. This is pre-engineering, not manufacturing.
Step 3: Placing the Order
After approval, we finalize the design, required quantities, configuration, timelines, warranty/support options, SmartKitCloud services, pricing, terms, and conditions.
Step 4: Production & Delivery
Your SmartKit is manufactured to the approved specification. Typical turnaround is 8–12 weeks from the date we receive all required metals and third-party equipment, subject to complexity and availability.
Outcome: Fully engineered, custom-built SmartKit(s) tailored to your operational needs.
A Note on Shipping
Completely Managed will ship inside and outside of Canada; however, shipping logistics must be paid and coordinated directly by the purchasing customer. Once goods are released to the customer’s chosen carrier, ownership and responsibility transfer to the customer.
Q6: What shipping policies does CM have and does Completely Managed Inc. ship outside of Canada?+
Yes — Completely Managed Inc. will ship products inside and outside of Canada; however, all local and international shipping logistics must be paid and coordinated directly by the purchasing customer.
This includes arranging couriers or freight services, handling all transport and customs paperwork, and covering any associated costs, duties, tariffs, brokerage fees, taxes, import approvals, or unforeseen cross-border charges.
At the customer’s direction, Completely Managed will securely package and prepare the shipment for pickup and make the goods available to the customer’s chosen carrier. Ownership and responsibility transfer to the customer once the shipment is released to that carrier. Tracking, follow-up, border requests, and shipping issues remain the responsibility of the customer, not Completely Managed Inc.
